Ridgemont Withstands Lehman Catholic’s Comeback Attempt

Ridgemont Golden Gophers Varsity built an eight-run lead in the fifth inning and then held off Lehman Catholic’s charge for a 10-9 victory on Tuesday.

Lehman Catholic tallied eight runs in the failed comeback. Grace Monnin, Abby Schutt, Grace Brandt, Olivia Lucia, Monnin, and Hope Anthony picked up RBIs to lead the rally.

There was plenty of action on the basepaths as Ridgemont Golden Gophers Varsity collected eight hits and Lehman Catholic had ten.

Cassidy Knapp was the winning pitcher for Ridgemont Golden Gophers Varsity. She lasted seven innings, allowing ten hits and nine runs while striking out seven.

Annie Stiver took the loss for Lehman Catholic. She went seven innings, allowing ten runs on eight hits and striking out seven.

Ridgemont Golden Gophers Varsity had eight hits in the game. Smith and Kylie Turner all collected multiple hits for Ridgemont Golden Gophers Varsity. Smith led Ridgemont Golden Gophers Varsity with three hits in five at bats. Ridgemont Golden Gophers Varsity stole five bases during the game as two players stole more than one.
