Kenton High School Boys Varsity Soccer beat Tiffin City 10-0

On a night that celebrated the end of the regular season the Cats defeated Tiffin Columbian 10-0 and finished 13-3-1!  In the process Connor Defibaugh set the season scoring mark (surpassing Hayden Hicks) with his 25th goal of the season!!!  Defibaugh found the net 4 times Saturday, Parker Rarey and Colby Quay had braces and Seth Manns and Aidan Wood each found the back of the net once.  Seth Manns was busy collecting 3 assists and then Quay, Ethan Yoder, Steven Piper, Marlon Lopez and Parker Rarey each had assists.  MJ Coulson and Ayson Scott recorded clean slates in the game.  Kenton outshot Columbian 29-0 in the contest and had 10 corners during the contest.  Hayden Hicks set the scoring mark in 2017 and was in attendance to congratulate Connor Defibaugh on his record setting night.  The night was also a celebration of Coach Bartlett’s 150th win he got earlier in the season at Bellefontaine.  There were more than 50 alumni in attendance and there were voice messages from Coach Mauk, Jason Marsico and former coach Brian Petty congratulating Coach Bartlett.  Adam Cahil, Coach Bartlett’s first captain was on hand to speak and talk about Bartlett’s early years in the KSA program.

The JV Cats defeated West Liberty Salem 2-1 and finish the campaign at 6-9-1.  Seth Spencer and Marlon Lopez had goals for the Cats.  Shane Spencer and Austin Chen assisted the goals and Ayson Scott had 3 saves in goal to preserve th win.

The Cats host the winner of Bath/Napoleon for a sectional title at Merold Field on Thursday, October 20 at 7pm.
