Kenton’s second doubles of Abbey Anglemyer and Samantha Lowe won 6-0, 6-0 over Lima Senior’s Daesha Jackson and Ashley McGue.
“We are so excited to receive our first win tonight,” said coach Katie Isenbarger. “We have been winning games but not bringing together the sets in previous matches, but tonight the girls played their games. They were all able to keep their level of play and win crucial points to pull out the sets. I was very proud of both of our doubles who have been working very hard at communicating and being positive on the court. Kayce and Aaliyah were hitting to the open court and hitting great cross courts tonight. It was nice to see them working together and beginning to find their momentum. Second doubles of Abbey and Sam really stayed strong and did well hitting down the line and being consistent on serves. I am proud of how all of our girls played tonight and hope to take this winning mentality into our upcoming matches.”
Kenton hosts Wapakoneta on Thursday.
