Upper Sandusky Shuts Down Mansfield Madison in Boys Tennis

Upper Sandusky defeated Mansfield Madison, 5-0, Monday afternoon in a boys home tennis match.

The win moves USHS to 3-1 on the season. Madison drops to 0-3.

1S – Levi Malone def. Gavin Remy 6-1, 6-1
2S – Landon Cotto-Ramos def. Zak Hoover 6-1, 6-3
3S – Justin Blackburn def. Brandon Liggett 6-0, 6-0
1D – Grant Bower/Anson Hill def. Harrison Lunsford/Tavis Pittenger 6-3, 6-2
2D – Nolan Mewhorter/Kyle Snowden def. Chase O’Connell/Caleb Marshall 6-0, 6-0

Coach Aaron Frazee said, “Always good to get a 5-0 win when guys played well. We had been struggling at 2S and 3S but Landon and Justin played much better today. They had been playing uptight, and today we told them to just relax, have fun, hit and move, and they did. Levi looked really good against a pretty good opponent in Remy. He is playing very well right now.”

The Rams are home Wednesday against Marion Harding. It is a 4:30 start.
