“I am so proud of how Grace played tonight. She showed mental toughness in order to come back and win the second set after losing the first. She dominated her opponent in the third set and continued to move her opponent and hit with great depth. Grace has improved so much this year and we look forward to seeing her continue towards the end of the season,” said Coach Katie Isenbarger.

“We had both third singles and second doubles in a third set tonight at the same time. They all showed mental toughness and second doubles showed this their entire match. Sam was doing a great job poaching at the net and hitting great lobs against Defiance. Abbey was also being consistent from the baseline and hitting down the line when the players from Defiance began to poach back. Sam and Abbey have really learned how to work together and communicate at doubles. We are proud of them and the team for closing out their games and winning the match tonight. We are proud of them and the team for closing out their games and winning the match tonight. With Mykaela Schriber’s leadership and win it allowed us to get a crucial WBL win. We are beginning to peak at the right time and it’s great to see the girls get better mentally.”
