Funeral services for Roger Lee Jenkins will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, March 4, 2022 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. Burial with military rites will follow at Ridgeway Cemetery. Friends and family may visit 2 hours prior to services at the funeral home.

Roger L. Jenkins known for his “Roger Time” died on his 75th birthday, February 28th, 2022. He was born the youngest of 13, on February 28, 1947 in Braxton County, WV to Ada and Pleasant Bert Jenkins. In 1966, he left West Virginia to proudly serve his country in the US Army. He married Beverly Ann McCalla in Ridgeway, Ohio, May 11, 1968 and she survives. Roger retired after 38 plus years at the Ford Engine Plant in Lima.

Roger leaves behind his two daughters; Sherry (Tom) Chamberlain of Marysville, Jennifer Jenkins of Charlotte, NC, bonus sons; Scott (Denise) Kaser of Kenton, Jay (Lisa) Gillfillan of Braxton County, WV, grandchildren; Adrian (Ashleigh) of Lewistown, Megan (Sam) Wicherson of Manitowoc, WI, great-granddaughter; Emersyn Jo Jenkins, two sisters; Betty Butcher of Cambridge, Patty Grubb of Beckley ,WV, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

His family reunion in heaven will include his parents, siblings; Lester, Maxine Hedrick, Vesta Simms, Avenelle Baldwin, Robert (Bert), Emily Lea, Emma Lou, Ruth Smallwood, Ralph, Wanda Canfield and numerous nieces and nephews.

Roger was known for his ornery sense of humor, willingness to help anybody, and his ability to fix anything. “He could catch a fish in a bathtub and kill a deer in a parking lot.”

Memorial donations may be made to Universal Home Health and Hospice or the Logan County Walnut Grove Methodist Church.
