There will be no services for Oma Parkins at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Oma died on Thursday, March 09, 2023 at the Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 03, 1946 in McGuffey to the late Kellie and Dorothy (Thornsberry) Bailey. She married Jack Parkins in November 1962 and he preceded her in death on October 04, 2020.
Surviving are 1 daughter; Barbara (Kris) Wuebbenhorst of Columbus Grove, 3 sons; Jack Parkins of Marion, Roger (Michelle) Parkins of Lima, Tony Parkins Sr. of Grafton, 2 brothers; Paul Bailey of Alger, William Bailey of McGuffey, 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 1 grandson; Jeffrey Parkins, 1 daughter-in-law; Peggy Ann Parkins, 2 sisters; Marilyn Wilson and Van Culver and 4 brothers; Kellie Bailey, Joby Bailey, John Henry Bailey and Charles Bailey.
Oma was a homemaker and a wonderful cook. She enjoyed spending time with family, loved turift stones and the color purple. She especially enjoyed “girls days” getting her hair and nails done. Oma also attended the Ada Full Gospel Church.
Memorial donations in Oma’s honor may be made to the donor’s choice.
