Obituary for Kimberly Ann Badertscher

            Kimberly Ann Badertscher, age 44, of Ada, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at 1:58 PM at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, surrounded by her family.

            She was born on May 6, 1978 in Lima, Ohio to Dale L. and Sharon R. (Foust) Badertscher.  Her father, Dale preceded her in death and her mother, Sharon survives in Ada.

            Kimberly is survived by her sister, Michelle (Eric) Stinehelfer of Amherst.  Her three nieces and nephew: Mallory, Caleb, Abigail, and Makenzie who were the light of her life.

            She was preceded in death by her sister, Angela Badertscher.

            Kimberly was as an athletic trainer, who worked outreach at Ohio Northern University and Lima area high schools.  She received her bachelor’s degree from Ohio Northern University, Ada and a master’s degree from East Stroudsburg University.  Kimberly was still active with many ONU athletic training alumni.  She was a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Ada.  Kimberly was active in the Ada High School Alumni Association.  She also was an educational resource at Lima Memorial Health System for organ transplant.  Kimberly was an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeye fan.   

            Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 30, 2023 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Deacon Michael J. Hood officiating.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.

            Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2023, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.   

            Memorial contributions be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Greater Cincinnati/Dayton Chapter, 4420 Carver Woods Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio 45242 and/or Make A Wish Foundation, 2545 Farmers Drive #300, Columbus, Ohio 43235 and/or Lifeline of Ohio, 770 Kinnear Road, Columbus, Ohio 43212.  The family encourages people to consider organ donation.
