Karen Sue (Buerger) Curtin, 66 of Forest, passed away at 2:10pm on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Marion General Hospital.  She was born on March 10, 1956 in Kenton to the late Clay E. and Barbara A. (Boles) Buerger.  Karen was a beloved family member who will be remembered fondly for her great sense of humor and genuine care for others.

Karen is survived by her husband, Tim Curtin of Forest; brothers: John (Kelly) Buerger of Arlington and Gary (Sandra) Buerger of Kenton; her beloved nephews, Jared Buerger of Columbus, Dylan Buerger of Arlington and her dear niece, Hannah Buerger of Columbus.

For decades, Karen worked in the automotive industry in Findlay. She was a co-owner of the family concession business, KJG Concessions.  In her prime, she was an avid bowler and once scored a nearly perfect game. By many in the community, Karen is best known for making delicious French fries and waffles at local events. She was a huge Ohio State Football fan, loved animals, but more than anything Karen loved her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to A Kid Again, Central Ohio Chapter, 777-G Dearborn Park Lane, Columbus, Ohio 43085 (a non-profit organization dedicated to serving children with life-threatening medical conditions) or the Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities, 125 Executive Drive, Suite 200, Marion, Ohio 43302.
