Obituary for Carol Sue Perkins

          Carol Sue Perkins, age 80, of Lima, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022, at the Carriage Court Assisted Living, Hilliard. 

          She was born on December 26, 1942, in Lima, Ohio to the late Lloyd L. and Cora Ruth (Kidd) Stoodt.   On September 5, 1965, Carol married the late Wendell Perkins.  

          Carol is survived by three sons: David Ray (Kim) Perkins of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Dale (Ann) Perkins of Bellefontaine and Darrell Perkins of Lima; a daughter, Alicia (Paul) Schultz of New Market, MN; seven grandchildren: Danielle Schultz, Kirsten (Kyle) Ecker, Meaghen Schultz, Connor (Taylor) Perkins, Ryan (Rebecca) Perkins, Hailey (Cole) Chambers, and Luke (Abby Cosart) Perkins, and a great grandson on the way; a brother, Galen Stoodt of Lima; and a sister, Janet Stoodt of Columbus.

          She was preceded in death by three brothers: Richard Stoodt, David Stoodt, and Dennis Stoodt.

          Carol retired from Walmart Eastgate of Lima, after working for nineteen years.  Carol was a member of the Liberty Chapel United Methodist Church, LaFayette and was a member of the United Methodist Women of the church.  She was a member of two bowling leagues the Moreos and the 21st Century Bowling league. She was an avid baker and was known for her pies, cookies, and mac & cheese.

          Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 30, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.  Burial will be in Liberty Chapel Cemetery, LaFayette.

          Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service on Friday, December 30th from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada

          In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and/or the Alzheimer’s Association
