United States Congressman Jim Jordan attended the opening of the new Hardin County Republican headquarters in downton Kenton on Monday.

The Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee told reporters that  the first piece of legislation to come out of his committee will be on immigration, “We need immigration enforcement legislation. I said this earlier but, how did this terrible border situation happen? What is the impact? Why does it really matter? We’ve seen that in hearings where we had a dad who lost his son to Fentynal. We’ve seen it from property owners. We’re going to the border next week to talk to property owners, to hospital administrators, to school administrators. The cost of this unprecedented immigration of illegal migrants. We’ll have immigration enforcement legislation. That will be the first step that we bring out of our committee.”

Jordan took part in a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new location on Detroit Street Street.

Also attending were State Senator Rob McColley, State Representative Jon Cross, Kenton Mayor Lynn Webb and numerous other Republican office holders in County Government.
