Obituary for Wilbur James (Jim) Truman

Wilbur James (Jim) Truman died in his sleep on Saturday, February 11, 2023. He was a long time resident of Kenton, Ohio.

Jim was born on March 2, 1955 to the late Donald and Mary (Harvey) Truman. He was one of twelve children. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Bonnie Cocherman, Diane Baum, Sandy Gary, Betty Moore and grandson, Alexander Beckwith.

Jim is survived by his children: Veronica (Jason) Modd of Kenton, Brieanna Truman of Kenton, James (Amber) Beckwith of Ada, and Christy (Art) Arredondo of Findlay; stepchildren: Emma (Neil) Fout of Kenton, Jeremy (Karie) Kalb of Forest, Natsha (Matt) Perkins of Findlay; grandchildren: David and Garrett Modd, Zachary, Aedyn, Paige, and Kierstyn Beckwith, Michael Frost, Braedyn and Aleksyss Arredondo; sisters: Robin (Rick) Mullins, Tammy (Doug) Hurley, Linda (Mike) Chram; brothers: Charlie (Cheryl) Truman, Chris (Heather) Truman, Kenny (Sandy) Truman, and Butch Truman.

Jim was a former member of the US Army and a proud Veteran. He was previously employed by Durez and served his community as an EMT with the BKP.   One thing about Jim is that he loved his grandchildren – they were his pride and joy.  He also enjoyed coin collecting, watching NASCAR and riding motorcycles.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME from 1-3pm and 5-7pm for family and friends to pay their respects. Memorials may be made to Not by Choice.  Graveside services with military honors will be held at Grove Cemetery at a later date.
