Obituary for Ruth E. Wallace

Ruth E. Wallace, age 74, formerly of Kenton, OH and Ironton, OH, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Sycamore Hospital in Kettering, OH. Ruth was born on February 23, 1945 to the late David and Nelle (Coates) Davis.
She married Michael Wallace on September 8, 1973, and he preceded her in death in April of 2002.
Ruth is survived by her sons: Craig Dunson, Mike (Junelyn) Dunson, John
(Julia) Wallace, and Jim (Anne) Wallace; her daughters: Susan (Kris
Curtis) Wallace, and Margie (Gary) Fillgrove; brothers: Bill (Myrna) Davis, and Jim (Jayma) Davis; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by her son, Joe Dunson; brothers: Phil Davis, David Davis Jr., Tom Davis, and Lewis Davis; and her sisters: Elinor Jane Ehlen, Barbara Tilton, and Margaret Ann Mullady.
Ruth was born and raised in Kenton and she spent most of her life as a homemaker. She was a member of the KHS graduating class of 1963. She was known to many of her good friends as R.I.B., “Ruth is Beautiful”. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, May 6, 2019 at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Kenton. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the funeral service from 1:00-2:00pm. Pastor John Dyer will be officiating the services. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
