Ruby Arlene (England) Nickell passed away at home on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 surrounded by family. Ruby was born on April 3, 1937 in Waverly, Ohio to the late William England and Rissie Catherine (Ison) England-Purnell. She married Rev. Ralph Paul Nickell on April 3, 1954 who preceded her in death March 29, 1998.

She is survived by 8 daughters: Cathy (Chet) McCleese of Dunkirk, Debra (Bill) Weaver of Florida, Teresa (Tony) Bostater of Dunkirk, Sandy (Charles) Prater of Dunkirk, Bonnie (Larry) Marsh of Kenton, Peggy Sue (Brad) Rickle of Dunkirk, Becky (Neil) Cooper of Dunkirk, Marilyn Grace (Jeff) Ridgeway of Dunkirk, She had 28 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren.

Ruby was preceded in death by an infant son, her parents and 3 brothers: John England, William (Sam) England, Robert (Bob) England, and her sister Ruth Pauline (Jeanie) Deyton.

Ruby was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. She was a life-long devoted christian and enjoyed being a stay-at-home mother and pastor’s wife for many years. She enjoyed walking & spoiling her dog Rigby, before she passed. She will be greatly missed.

A funeral service for Ruby will be held at 12:00 P.M. Noon on Friday, January 6, 2023 at the Ada Full Gospel Church with Pastor Joe Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Dunkirk Cemetery. Friends and Family may visit 1 hour prior to services at the church. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorial donations in Ruby’s honor may be made to St. Rita’s Home Health & Hospice.
