Obituary for Rosalyn E. Bowman

Rosalyn E. Bowman, 81 of Mt. Blanchard passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023.  She was born on October 9, 1941. She married Robert Bowman on August 24, 1958 and he survives along with children; Lou Ann (Jim) Farmer of Findlay, Bradley J. (Cheri) Bowman of Mt. Blanchard and Todd A. (Vicki) Bowman of Plain City, Ohio.  Rosalyn is also survived by her brothers; David Suter, Clyde Bame, sister, Jane Keen, sister-in-law, Lori Suter, nine grandchildren; Brett (Alissa) Farmer, Dawn (Aric) Hochstettler, Haley (Cody) Schapson, Eric (Addy) Bowman, Zach (Mady) Bowman, Luke Bowman, Kimberly Bowman, Gregory (Emily) Bowman, Brian Bowman and twelve great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Lotta Suter, son, Scott D. Bowman, brother, Dean Suter and sister, Esther McDaniel.  Mrs. Bowman retired from Riverdale Schools as the cafeteria manager.  She was a long-time member of the Mt. Blanchard United Methodist Church. She loved sports, especially Riverdale, Ohio State and Cleveland Sports.  Rosalyn enjoyed traveling, she and her husband spent 19 winters in Arizona and went on numerous cruises.  She also loved playing cards and camping, especially at Bowman’s Bottom but most of all, she loved her family. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 PM at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington.  A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at the Mt. Blanchard United Methodist Church where additional visitation will be held from 10:00 Am Wednesday until the time of service. A private family burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Rosalyn to the Mt. Blanchard United Methodist Church, the Riverdale Athletic Boosters or Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
