of Kenton
Graveside services for Lauren Gerald Baier will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at the Dola Cemetery. Friends and Family may visit from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton.
Lauren passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022 at the St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima. He was born in Dola on July 3, 1930 to the late Emmit C. and Luella M. (Kraft) Baier. In August of 1950 he married Betty J. Hoover and they later divorced.
Surviving are his 2 children; Shelley L. (Baier) Kindle, Steven L. Baier, grandchildren; Kristine L. Kindle, Kyle D. (Kim) Kindle, Stacy M. (Shaun) Hawk, David S. (Crystal) Baier, Brandy S. (Anthony) Cramer, Dylan C. Baier, 12 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and his longtime companion; Pat Hoffman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son-in-law; Dennis R. Kindle.
Lauren graduated from Dola High School in 1948. After graduating from high school, Lauren painted houses and was later hired on at Ohio Kentucky MFG and in 1950 to Timken. He went on to work for Rockwell and retired from there after 47 years of service. Lauren also farmed until the late 90’s.
He was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Dola. Lauren enjoyed dancing, and attended his Rockwell breakfast bunch and family.
