Obituary for Beau D. Rettig

Beau D. Rettig, 52, of Findlay passed away at 8:15 P.M. on Wednesday March 30, 2022 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He was born on January 19, 1970 to William and Iola (Shaver) Rettig, who survive. He married Billi Piper on June 8, 1996 and she survives.

Beau is also survived by his children: Brooke (Luke Rickenbacher) Rettig of Westerville, Bridget (Jared) Rizor, and Brock Rettig both of Findlay; brothers: Steve (Molly) Rettig of Georgia, and Raymond (Michele) Rettig of Findlay; and sisters: Denise (Joe) Cheney of Jenera, and Karen (Mark) Dauterman of Bluffton, Indiana.

Beau was a graduate of Findlay High School. In his younger years he enjoyed martial arts, specifically karate. He worked as a Quality Technician at Whirlpool and was also an active Allen Township Volunteer Firefighter first responder/EMT. He was a huge Notre Dame fan. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses, doctors, and medical staff at The OSU Wexner Medical Center for their devoted care during this difficult time.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday April 3, 2022 from 1-5PM at Coldren Crates Funeral Home, 205 W. Sandusky Street, Findlay. Visitation will also be held on Monday April 4, 2022 from 9-10AM. The funeral service will follow, beginning at 10AM, with Pastor Mark Dauterman officiating. Interment will be private. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
