Man Wanted in Connection to Murder in Marion Arrested

A man wanted on a charge of homicide in Marion County was arrested in Detroit, Michigan on Wednesday.

According to a release from Sheriff Matt Bayles, Marquis D. Adams was arrested by agents from the U.S. Marshall’s Office.

He is being held in Detroit until he can be extradited back to Marion.

Adams is accused of shooting a 17 year old male during the early morning hours of August 20, 2022.

The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
