Written by on September 16, 2019

A Logan County Jail inmate man who walked off a work detail this past Friday was captured and arrested the next day.

The Bellefontaine Examiner reported that 36 year old Andrew Miller was working at the Logan County Solid Waste Management District when he walked off at around 3:45 Friday afternoon.

The Bellefontaine Police Department received a tip Saturday that Miller was at a house located at 413 Lawrence Street in Bellefontaine.

Officers and Logan County Sheriff’s deputies received permission from the homeowner, who was not at the property, to enter the house, and Miller was found hiding in a crawl space in the basement.

Miller was arrested in late August on charges of trademark counterfeiting, contempt of court and a probation violation and was considered a low level offender.

He is now facing a charge of escape.
