Latest Port Authority Ordinance for Kenton Sent to City Officials

Written by on December 7, 2022

The latest draft of the Port Authority Ordinance for the City of Kenton was sent to city officials by Law Director John Schwemer.

The draft will be on the agenda for City Council’s next meeting on Monday, December 12.

Schwemer noted that there have been minor revisions based upon council’s meeting last week and the law director’s discussions with Austin Irving of Shumaker Law in Toledo.

The revisions include: changing the board member number from 5 to 7, deleting the requirement that board members cannot hold other public offices, and that Council would have to approve and confirm the initial and subsequent board appointments after passage and creation of the Port Authority.
