Flood Watch and Wind Advisory in Effect

It is a weather alert day today.

A Flood Watch remains in effect through late tonight. 

Moderate to heavy rain will overspread the area this morning and persist through the day. 

Rainfall totals of 1 to 2 inches are forecast with locally higher amounts possible.

Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

There is also a wind advisory in effect for the region from this afternoon until 4 Saturday morning.

Southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph is expected.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.

Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
