Detached Garage; Two Vehicles Destroyed by Fire in Kenton

A detached garage located behind a residence at 507 North Detroit Street in Kenton was destroyed by a fire over the weekend.
According to information from the Kenton Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched to the location at just after 10 Friday night where they arrived to find the two story garage fully engulfed in flames and the roof had already collapsed.
The property is owned by Chad Conley, who confirmed that there was no one inside at the time.
Firefighters had the blaze under control within 30 minutes, and foam was used due to a large amount of gasoline and two vehicles inside.
The garage and all the contents were listed as a total loss.
The cause has not yet been determined, and it remains under investigation.
Mutual assistance was provided by fire departments from Dunkirk, Forest and Mcguffey.
BKP, Kenton Fire Department and American Electric Power all assisted as well.
They were on the scene for around three hours.
