Ada School District Now Has Option to Utilize 3 Hour Delay
Written by WKTN Staff on March 5, 2019
Starting this week, the Ada Exempted Village School District will begin to consider and enact a Three Hour Delay option.
The plan is being implemented in an effort to maintain as much instructional time possible and to minimize the number of days the district must cancel.
On a three hour delay, all students will still be fed lunch, and the day will not be extended. The school day will end at the usual ending time, just as it is with a two-hour delay.
On some snow or ice days and many fog days, one more hour can make a difference between safe travel and unsafe travel.
The school will continue to alert residents about three hour delays in the same manner as two hour delays and cancellations are announced now.
