2019 Hardin County Fair Attendance Best Since 2015

Fair officials are happy with attendance figures for the just completed 2019 Hardin County Fair.


Given last year’s bad weather, it didn’t take much to improve the numbers this year, but according to Fairboard Secretary Judi Cronley, attendance this year was the best since 2015.


Paid gate on Sunday was 1489 compared to 513 in 2018.


Total estimated attendance yesterday was 8338, which was way up from last year’s figure of 2873.


Overall paid gate for the 2019 fair was 10,193, compared to 8168 in 2018.


Estimated attendance for this year’s fair was 57,079, which was nearly double 2018’s number of 30,165.


Sunday evening’s Demolition Derby attracted 1455 people to the Grandstand. Last year’s event was cancelled due to poor ground conditions caused by rain.


Attendance for the Choir Show yesterday was, which was cancelled last year, was 659.


658 people attended the Hour of Inspiration Service, compared to 377 last year.


If you can’t get enough of the fair, you’re in luck, the Wyandot County Fair in Upper Sandusky is set to kick off Tuesday.


The Official opening of the fair happens at 8 tomorrow morning. The Flag Raising Ceremony takes place at 9.


The Junior Fair King and Queen Pageant starts at 5:30 in the Master’s Building.


A parade moves out starting at 6:30 Tuesday evening, and the County High School Band Show will be held in the Grandstand at 7:30pm.


The Wyandot County Fair runs through Sunday September 15.
