Woman Killed in Putnam County Crash Tuesday Afternoon

A Continental, Ohio woman was killed in a 2 vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon in Putnam County.
According to a release from the Lima Post of the Ohio State Patrol, 48 year old Shari Dotson was driving east on State Route 114 when a car being driven by 29 year old John Barnhart, of Cloverdale, Ohio, pulled into her path from County Road 19.
After the collision, Dotson, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from her vehicle after it travelled off the northeast corner of the intersection and struck a house.
She was pronounced dead after being taken to Mercy Health St. Rita’s Putnam County medical facility.
Barnhart was taken to St. Rita’s in Lima with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
