Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced Wednesday that the Franklin County Grand Jury has indicted 60 year old Mike Davis on four counts of child pornography charges.

Channel 10 in Columbus reported that the charges include two counts of Pandering Sexually-Oriented Matter Involving a Minor (F-2), one count of Pandering Sexually-Oriented Matter Involving a Minor (F-2), and one count of Pandering Sexually-Oriented Matter Involving a Minor (F-4).

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, ICAC, received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that a Yahoo! Inc. account associated with Davis’ email address had downloaded a “significant amount” of suspected child pornography.

Last month, search warrants were executed at both Davis’ home and at the Channel 10 station, where Davis was employed as long-time meteorologist.

Electronic devices were seized at both locations.

Davis will be arraigned on Monday, October 21.

If convicted on all four charges, he could be sentenced to up to 25 years in prison.
