Farmers Reminded There’s Still Time to Apply for Ag-LINK Program

Written by on March 5, 2020

COLUMBUS – Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague is reminding farmers and agribusinesses there is still time to take advantage of the Ag-LINK program.

The 2020 application period for Ag-LINK runs until March 20. Through the program, farmers and agribusinesses may qualify for reduced interest loans for operating costs related to feed, seed, fertilizer, fuel, and other expenses.

“Just last year, the Ag-LINK helped 780 farmers and agribusinesses to lower their rates on loans totaling more than $86.5 million,” said Treasurer Sprague. “The program can go a long way in helping to off-set the costs incurred during planting season, and we are proud of the ways it continues to support agriculture across Ohio.”

Through this application period, farm operators and agribusiness owners based in Ohio can receive an interest rate reduction on loans up to $150,000.

Those interested in Ag-LINK should contact their ag-lender to begin the online loan application process.
