Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign Continues Through Labor Day Weekend

Written by on August 30, 2019

As you hit the roads this Labor Day Weekend, area law enforcement agencies are encouraging motorists not to drive while impaired, and for all passengers to fasten their seatbelt.

Area law enforcement agencies as well as the Ohio State Highway Patrol will be out in force participating in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign which runs through Labor Day on Monday.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration; 45% of drivers 21-34 years old who died were drunk at the time of the crash.

Also 79% of drunk-driving fatalities occurred at night.

These stats are from the 2017 Labor Day Holiday period.

If you choose to drink, plan a safe and sober ride home before consuming alcoholic beverages.

Contact law enforcement if you suspect someone is driving impaired and do not allow someone to get behind the wheel if they have had too much to drink.
