Career Readiness Updated at Kenton City School Board of Education Meeting

The Kenton City School Board of Education Held a Meeting Monday Night
During last night’s meeting a small ceremony was held to honor the first graduate of the 22+ program. The first 22+ graduate Amber Greenwood said the program changed her life. She explained that the program was easy to enter and usually students in the program start with two classes. But upon completion of those two classes you may request more. Amber thanked her friends and family for their support and the program for being so supportive and fast acting.
Later in the meeting Christina Cross the Kenton Career Readiness Advisor gave a report concerning the Career Readiness course for Kenton Schools. Within the report Mrs. Cross touched on why there is a need for career readiness, what a career advisor is and future ideas. The board also approved an agreement with the Kenton Police Department to secure and additional School Resource Officer, this agreement comes in preparation for final actions to be taken by the Kenton City Council.
The next meeting of the Kenton City School Board of Education will be held on Tuesday January 14th at 7 P.M.
