UNOH Men’s and Women’s Basketball Home Games To Start Season With No Fans

Written by on November 13, 2020

The University of Northwestern Ohio has announced that it will not have fans in attendance for both Varsity and Junior Varsity Men’s and Women’s Basketball home games for the start of the 2020-21 athletics season.

“We are saddened that we won’t be able to have Racer fans in attendance, but we will be live streaming all home games for anyone who wants to tune in to support our programs,” said Director of Athletics, Chris Adams. “Our focus remains on keeping our players and athletics staff as healthy and safe as possible which means we must minimize any situation that could jeopardize our teams’ ability to complete the season. Even though we cannot have spectators and fellow students with us physically, we appreciate their support virtually and hope to have them back in The Garage as soon as conditions allow it.”

Health and Safety concerns brought on by the current COVID-19 pandemic locally and regionally drove the University’s decision to postpone fan attendance for the time being. Fans and families of players will be able to listen and watch along live to all home games at www.unohracers.com under the respective team’s schedule tab.
