Due to Covid-19 restrictions, funeral services for Saundra L. Modd will be private. Burial will take place at Grove Cemetery. A celebration of life for the public will be held at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.

She died on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born on October 3, 1936 in McGuffey to the late John Kenneth and Delores (Armentrout) Wilson. She married James Modd on November 19, 1955 and he preceded her in death on November 14, 2014.

Surviving are  2 daughters; Caryl Lanell (Robert) Philips of Hilliard, Candace Elayne (Cliff) Koch of Hilliard, 2 daughters; Christopher James (Patricia) Modd of Massillon, Cary Michael Modd of Kenton, a sister; Alice Louise Keyes of Lombard, Ill., a sister-in-law; Barbara (Gary) McQuown of Kenton, and 9 grandchildren.

Saundra retired from the Hardin County recorders office after 30 years of service.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Kenton, the Kenton Elks and the Kenton Moose.

Saundra had a love for music, she could play the piano and often played for her church. She also enjoyed playing cards, doing cross word puzzles and was an avid reader, often with an old movie or musical playing in the background.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Christian Church in Kenton.
