Ohio Hi-Point Cosmetology Juniors Earn Professional Shears in Shear Ceremony

BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio – Twenty-five Cosmetology juniors at Ohio Hi-Point Career Center are one step closer to earning their Ohio State Board of Cosmetology License after receiving their professional set of shears at the program’s annual Shear Ceremony.

After successfully completing Haircutting 101, which includes practical application and written tests, students received their own professional pair of shears.

Ava Blair (Urbana), Keirsten Blanton (Mechanicsburg), Kourtnie Burr (Urbana), Tabbitha Clark (Indian Lake), Eliza Dewitt (Mechanicsburg), Mary Flowers (Urbana), Emma Gaver (Marysville), Kadence Grim (Graham), Kaytlyn Harvey (Bellefontaine), Lexi James (Waynesfield-Goshen), Raven Johnson (West Liberty-Salem), Karlee Kabua (Bellefontaine), Brianna Kiefer (Bellefontaine), Terran Maier (Bellefontaine), Jasmyne Marquis (Marysville), Calie McDaniel (Triad), Kameron Mitchell (Urbana), Sue Lexi Mitchell (Mechanicsburg), Marley Ropp (Bellefontaine), Bethanie Shorr (Marysville), Lauren Smith (Graham), Logan Smith (Ridgemont), Braxton Thomas (Ridgemont), Jillian Williams (Bellefontaine), Destiny Young (Indian Lake).

The students are currently taking customers at Ohio Hi-Point’s salon on campus.
