Obituary for Sue A. Grubbs

Sue A. Grubbs age 84 of Forest, passed away at Lima Memorial Hospital on November 9, 2022.  She was born on August 28, 1938 to the late Bailey and Dorothy (Oates) McKinley in Hardin County.  Sue married the late Bert Grubbs on December 24, 1955.

Surviving are her children Robert (Terri) Grubbs of Kenton, Deborah (Donald) Leonard of Nevada, and Bert Jr. (Rhonda) Grubbs of Kenton, grandchildren Heather Willison, Alexis Grubbs, and Bert Andy Grubbs III, great grandchildren Jimmy Willison and Mia Willison, sister Eleanor Hipsher of Dunkirk.  She is preceded in death by her siblings Gerald McKinley, Ronald McKinley, John McKinley, and Janete Bibler.

Sue was a member of the Patterson United Methodist Church and worked at Essex Wire and Corinthian Nursing Home both of Kenton.  She and her husband both served as cemetery sextons for Patterson Cemetery.  Sue was also a member of the Eagles Club in Kenton.  She enjoyed mowing the yard and playing Bingo. 

Funeral Services will be held at Clark Shields Funeral Home on Tuesday November 15, 2022 at 10:00am with Pastor Johnny Phillips officiating.  Visitation will be held on Monday November 14, 2022 from 4:00pm –7:00pm at Clark Shields Funeral Home.  Memorial Contributions may be made to Hardin County Council of Aging in care of Clark Shields Funeral Home 301 S.
