Obituary for Mona Kay Anderson

Mona Kay Anderson, 85 of Mt. Victory passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023 at her residence. She was born on August 31, 1937 to the late Albert and Dorcas (Anderson) Creviston. Mona married Donald Anderson on October 14, 1952 and he preceded her in death on August 24, 2021. She is survived by her son: Ronald (Robin) Anderson of LaRue; and daughters: Cindy (Steve) Crooks of Forest, and Amy (Chad) Keckler of Mount Victory; and grandchildren: Kyle (Brittany) Anderson, Katie (Tom) Ross, Samantha (Brandon) Streeter, Eric Keckler, Ryan Crooks, and Keith (Tanille) Crooks; along with several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Alberta Orahood and Virginia Strickland. She was a full time farmer’s wife and mother. Mona was also a 4-H advisor for 12 years and a Girl Scout advisor for 4 years. She loved doing crafts and painting. She also enjoyed fishing and country music. Mona retired from the Kenton Post Office and was a member of the Big Springs Church of Christ. Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Kenton. A graveside service will begin at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Hale Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Mona to Universal Home Health and Hospice.
