of Kenton
Marion Robert Houser, 93, Kenton departed his earthly home February 8, 2023 to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Born in Kenton, Ohio on October 16, 1929 to the late Winfield Marion Houser and Lida C. (Sprang) Houser, he married Barbara Lou Daniels in the home of her parents on March 27, 1948. His wife of 72 years preceded him in death, along with a brother; Cloyd Houser.
He is a father to five sons; Mike (Judy) Houser, Pat (Bev) Houser, Craig (Jeannie) Houser, Donn (Deb) Houser, and Mark (Heather) Houser. He is a grandfather to twelve grandchildren and great-grandfather to eighteen great-grandchildren.
Marion (Abe) was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kenton where he had many fond memories of singing in the church choir. Abe was a retired farmer and enjoyed researching his family’s genealogy, fishing, hunting, and woodworking. Marion Robert Houser – beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend – will be greatly missed.
A funeral service for Marion will be held at 12:00 P.M. Noon on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Craig Mansfield officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Memorial donations in Marion’s honor may be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice in Findlay.
