Obituary for Jimmy Ray Morrison

           Jimmy Ray Morrison, age 66, of Alger, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022, at OhioHealth Hardin Memorial Hospital, Kenton.

          He was born on August 11, 1956, to Kenton, Ohio to the late Harlin and Lola (Bailey) Morrison.  On December 24, 1974, Jimmy married Mary Catherine Sietz, but later separated.  A long-time partner Cristina Smith Survives at home.   

          Jim and Mary were blessed with four children: Tina Prall of Alger, James (Angie) Morrison of Kenton, Tresa (Micah) Rotroff of Alger, and Travis (Rachel) Morrison of Kenton; and twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  Jim is also survived by his four siblings: Adaline (Richard) Rucker of Ostander, Marilyn Pratt of Kenton, Donald (Janet) Morrison of Dola, and Rick (Cindy) Morrison of Alger.

          He was preceded in death by eight siblings: Alberta “Blondie” Shepherd, Carrie Jane Holbrook, Franklin D. Morrison, Orville Lee Morrison, Ovie Dean Morrison, Billy Joe Morrison, Judy Fay Kearly, and Phyllis Ann Bowman.

          Jim worked for Kenton Structural as a welder.  He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors anytime of the year.  He also loved boating on Indian Lake and visiting the dam up north in Ohio.  Being an avid marijuana smoker, he had a strong advocacy for the legalization.  Jim also liked to watch his two favorite teams The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Green Bay Packers.  

          It was his wish to be cremated.  A celebration of life will be held at the Kenton Eagles, 10750 State Route 68, Kenton, Ohio 43326 on Friday, December 23, 2022, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.
