Late Coldwater Three Sinks Cats

Written by on December 6, 2019

Myles Blasingame hit a three-pointer in the closing seconds to lift Coldwater to a 67-64 win over the Kenton Wildcats in boys basketball play Friday.

In a back-and-forth game that saw each team lead by double-digits, Kenton’s Jacob Eversole hit a three-pointer to knot the game at 64-all with under 30 seconds left, but Blasingame’s late-game heroics gave the Cavaliers the victory.

Coldwater (1-0) got 17 points from Ethan Post while Noah Miller added 16 points and Blasingame tossed in 14 points.

Eversole led all players with 20 points for Kenton (1-2). Jayden Cornell added 18 points for the Cats and Reed Cook finished with 13 points.

Eversole was named the Ace Hardware Player of the Game.

The Cats are back in action on Saturday when they take on Upper Scioto Valley. WKTN will carry the game live, with the pregame show starting around 5:30 p.m. at Alumni Fieldhouse.
