KES Leader in Me Club Addresses Kenton School Board

The Kenton City Schools Board of Education heard from Kenton Elementary School’s Leader in Me club at a recent meeting.
The Leader in Me club is the D Pod Service Project club made up of 5th and 6th grade students.
They have come up with service project ideas to help those in the school, community and country.
So far in October, they have planted and decorated the planters in the front of the KES entrance.
In November they colored and decorated placemats and made pine cone turkey centerpieces for Hardin Hills Nursing home for their Thanksgiving dinner.
In December they created and decorated trees for the KES front entrance and decorated the Christmas trees in the cafeteria.
Four of the club’s members shared the information with pictures of some of their service projects with the Board of Education at their December meeting earlier this week.
