Elderly Wharton Man Injured in Wyandot County Crash

A Wharton man was seriously injured in a crash that occurred in Wyandot County this past Wednesday.

 

According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office, which was released today, 82 year old Waldemar Weber, of Wharton, drove from a stop sign on County Highway 96 onto County Highway 330, and his car was struck by a westbound vehicle being operated by 36 year old Nicole Schmuck, of Forest.

 

Weber was taken by helicopter to St. Rita’s Medical Center. 

 

Schmuck and a passenger in her vehicle were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

 

Weber was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
