Domestic Disturbance Leads to Stabbing in Findlay

A domestic disturbance led to a stabbing in Findlay late Monday morning.

 

According to a release from the Findlay Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 109 Larkins Street in the city where they were told two males were visiting with the female occupant of the residence.

 

During an altercation, 28 year old Tobias Bixler was stabbed with a folding knife. He was transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital where he is in stable condition in the intensive care unit.

 

The suspect, identified as 34 year old William Burkhalter, fled the scene prior to officers arriving. He was located a short time later and was arrested without incident at the Hancock County Probation Office.

 

Burkhalter admitted to tossing the knife out of this vehicle as he fled.

 

The knife was located and collected as evidence in the case, which remains under investigation.
