Big Weekend for Kenton Students

It was a great weekend for Kenton students.

History was made in bowling this past Friday evening at the Division II Northwest District Bowling Tournament.

That’s where Devin Hastings became Kenton’s first ever bowling state qualifier.

He rolled a tournament high series of 684 which qualified him for the state tournament in Columbus.

In wrestling, Anthony Hunt was the Sectional Champion

Logan Brown was Runner-Up and Landen Elliott lended in 4Th Place.

Two atheletes were 2021-22 Basketball All-WBL Honorees:

Girls Basketball – Tatum Miller (Jr.) – Honorable Mention

Boys Basketball – Jarrett Jolliff (Sr.) – Honorable Mention

At the Alliance Royal Aviation Competition held on Saturday.

Kenton’s Dimensions were the Class C Grand Champions and Richard Huang was named Best Peformer.

Top Twenty were named Class A Grand Champions and Elaine Webster was the Best Performer.

They also pickup up Best Stage Crew recognition.

Top Twenty came home with an Overall Grand Championship award and also took best choreography in the finals as well.
