Woman Arrested Following Attempted Car Jacking in Sandusky County

A suspect was arrested Tuesday after an attempted car-jacking in Sandusky County.

 

According to a release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Erie Island Service Plaza on the Ohio Turnpike where a female is said to have brandished a knife and demanded that a male give her the keys to his his vehicle.

 

When the man refused, the suspect fled into the plaza’s building.

 

Troopers from the Milan Post, Bucyrus District Criminal Patrol Section and an Agent from the U.S. Border Patrol located the

female suspect inside the building.

 

She allegedly did not immediately comply with officers commands to surrender and eventually was taken into custody with the use of a Taser. 

 

The suspect was in possession of a knife at the time of the arrest.

 

She was identified as 33 year old Lisa Michelle Todaro, of Cuyahoga Falls.

 

She was incarcerated in the Sandusky County Jail on a charge of Attempted Aggravated Robbery.

 

Additional charges wi ll be filed at a later time. 

 

There were no injuries during the incident.
