Wildcats Trounce Elida 35-15, Grab Share Of WBL Title

The Kenton Wildcats clinched a share of the Western Buckeye League title by trouncing Elida 35-15 Friday at Kraft Stadium.

The Wildcats improve to 8-2 overall and 8-1 in the league and share the WBL title with Wapakoneta.

Elida finishes 0-10 overall and 0-9 in the league.

Blaine Huston threw four touchdown passes and the Kenton defense did the rest. The Wildcats forced four Elida turnovers, scored a defensive touchdown and held the Bulldogs to 80 yards through three quarters.

Bryce Ellis and Noah Eikenbary were named the Ace Hardware Players of the Game.

The Cats will begin playoff action next Saturday against an opponent and at a site to be determined.
