Wildcats Aim For WBL Title At Elida

Written by on November 1, 2019

The Kenton Wildcats will look to win their first Western Buckeye League title since 2013 tonight when they travel to Elida to meet the winless Bulldogs.

Kenton, which is ranked 10th in the latest Associated Press Division IV state poll, is 7-2 overall and 7-1 in the WBL. The Wildcats are tied with Ottawa-Glandorf and Wapakoneta for first in the league and will clinch a share of the WBL championship with a win over Elida, which is 0-9 overall and 0-8 in the league. Wapakoneta and Ottawa-Glandorf play each other tonight, with the winner of that game clinching at least a part of the league title.

Kenton is currently fifth in the Region 16 computer ratings and has already clinched a postseason berth. The top 4 teams in each region will host first-round games.

WKTN will have all the action live tonight from Kraft Stadium, with the pregame show starting at 6:30 p.m. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
