Two Marion residents are facing charges following an incident over the weekend in Kenton.

 

According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, officers received a call that an unoccupied vehicle with the engine running that had been parked for an hour on South Wayne Street between Nelson Insurance and HSLC.

 

An officer arrived and found that a male and female were inside the vehicle.

 

Both were allegedly in possession of drug abuse instruments, drug paraphernalia and possible drugs.

 

The male suspect, identified as 28 year old Evan Steele, was arrested for improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle after a loaded handgun was located.

 

The female suspect, identified as 24 year old Kelsey Rife, was taken into custody on a warrant out of Marion County.

 

Numerous drug paraphernalia items and suspected drugs were confiscated from the vehicle.

 

Both suspects are facing drug possession charges pending lab results.

A Kenton man was injured in a domestic violence incident reported to Kenton police Sunday night.

 

According to the report, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of North Leighton Street in reference to a report that a male was covered in blood and was asking for someone to call police.

 

Officers determined that a domestic violence incident involving a father and son occurred at a house in the area.

 

The man suffered a laceration resulting in possible internal injuries.

 

The suspect, identified as 20 year old Maverick Adams, was arrested on a charge of domestic violence.
