Several fresh faces will show up on campus and within the region beginning the third week of August.

Many University of Findlay students will be returning, and new students will be settling in before launching their academic careers in higher education.

Here are important events for the campus and public to keep in mind:

Thursday, Aug. 15 – New student registration beginning at 8 a.m., and Move-In Day starting at 1:30 p.m.

Friday, Aug. 16 – Griffith Memorial Arch Ceremony at 4 p.m. Distinguished as one of the oldest college traditions in Northwest Ohio, new students will walk through the arch toward Old Main, signifying the start of their life at UF. Students’ caregivers and friends, along with the public, are encouraged to attend this welcoming celebration.

Saturday, Aug. 17 – Day-long Orientation Service Projects will begin at 8 a.m. This annual event introduces students to the Findlay community and region by providing opportunities to help individuals and nonprofit organizations with tasks such as painting and cleaning. Orientation Service Projects are a campus-wide effort, with faculty and staff also participating.
