UF Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society Chapter Recognized for Excellence

Written by on March 28, 2019

The University of Findlay chapter of Phi Kappa Phi honor society was recently recognized as a Circle of Excellence Platinum Chapter, the highest commendation a chapter can receive from the organization.

The distinction is part of the society’s Circle of Honor program, which was introduced in 2018 and awarded for the first time this year. The program recognized 75 chapters this year, including 16 with the Platinum distinction, the latter of which were found to have exceeded expectations in chapter operations and demonstrated sustainability and vitality as a chapter.

“I am grateful for national office’s recognition of the ongoing hard work and dedication of our current student, faculty, and staff members,” said Andrew Whitis, chapter president. He thanked alumni members for their continued support, along with current and past student vice presidents for their work in making the chapter successful.

Phi Kappa Phi has chapters on more than 300 campuses in the United States and the Philippines. It is the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.
