Two Columbus Residents Charged with Theft After Union County Traffic Stop

Two Columbus residents were charged after a traffic stop in Union County this past weekend.

 

According to the Daily Media Release from the Union County Sheriff’s Office, deputies assisted the Marysville Police Department in stopping a suspect’s vehicle on US 33 near US 42.

 

The occupants were suspected of being involved in a theft of several tools from a business on Colemans Crossing Boulevard.

 

After further investigation, two chain saws and two leaf blowers were recovered from the vehicle. 

 

A passenger in the vehicle, David A. Barney, age 32, was charged with theft and the driver, Ciara N. Allen, age 26, was charged with complicity.
