The Kenton City Council held a meeting Monday night.

The Gas Station located at 311 South Main Street is changing ownership, and the council voted to waive the right to hearing.

The Fire department declared they are fully staffed for the first time in 9 years due to actions of the city council, which has drastically improved the safety of firefighters and maintenance of equipment.

An ordinance pertaining to transferring funds to various city projects was amended to erase a line containing a transfer of funds to Quarry equipment repair. This amendment was made due to AEP repairing the equipment on their own, thus making the transfer unnecessary.
