COLUMBUS – Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague is one of 24 elected officials nationwide chosen by The Aspen Institute to participate in the two-year Rodel Fellowship in Public Leadership program.

Participants are identified by The Aspen Institute’s leadership as, “America’s emerging political leaders with reputations for intellect, thoughtfulness, and a commitment to civil dialogue.”

“I’m honored to be chosen as an Aspen-Rodel fellow,” said Treasurer Sprague. “This is an incredible opportunity to learn from some of America’s best and brightest policy minds as we analyze our democracy and the foundations of effective leadership. I look forward to bringing these experiences back to the Treasurer’s office and putting them to work for the people of Ohio.”

The Aspen Institute-Rodel Fellowship program is, according to The Aspen Institute, “an educational and leadership training program based on the belief that by exposing participants to a variety of philosophies, viewpoints, and strategies, we will improve the quality of problem-solving in the states and in our local communities.”
